New orchid department opens at East Coast Garden Center in Millsboro

East Coast Garden Center is welcoming spring with a new addition to its large selection of plants for all needs. Orchids have arrived in the retail building, and are in full bloom to be added to shoppers' homes. While orchids aren’t difficult to grow, they are different from normal house plants. Garden center staff will guide shoppers through their new experience with the necessary information they need to be successful with their new orchid.

Even though orchids grow naturally in tropical regions, with proper care they can be easily grown in the home. Three important elements for success are light, fertilization and watering.

Orchids being introduced at the garden center include cattleya, cymbidium, dendrobium, doritaenopsis, miltoniopsis, oncidium, paphiopedilum, phalaenopsis and vanda. Each orchid has its own distinct qualities and beauty. When purchasing orchids at East Coast Garden Center, shoppers will receive a detailed care sheet and description for each plant to make their orchid experience happier and less stressful.
