One of the busiest intersections in the Long Neck area is getting some relief.
A new traffic signal at the Route 24-Sloan Road-Hollymount Road intersection has been installed; and it went into full stop-and-go operation Nov. 20.
The developer of Walden and Walden Villas, sharing both sides of Route 24 near the intersection, provided funding for the project. Construction is underway at Walden Villas with 100 town home units, and site work is underway at Walden with 265 single-family lots. Part of the project included realignment of Sloan Road to match Hollymount Road.
