Dewey marketing committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Marketing Committee will meet at 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, at the Dewey Beach Lifesaving Station.
The group will discuss fundraising initiatives and activities for the new town hall. Members will also discuss committee involvement at the opening weekend celebration March 13-15, a possible partnership with the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and potential material for summer renter welcome packets, and committee participation in a variety of events this spring.

Dewey P&Z set to meet March 3
The Dewey Beach Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, at the Dewey Beach Lifesaving Station.
The group will hold a public hearing on an ordinance to amend town code relating to the location of accessory swimming pools and fences, and the height of pool fences.
A second public hearing will be held on an ordinance to amend town code regarding stormwater runoff, guttering and downspouts.
Votes on each issue may occur at the meeting.

Sussex County Council sets March 3 meeting
Nearly all agenda items from the Feb. 24 Sussex County Council meeting, canceled after a storm buried the county under nearly 20 inches of snow Feb. 22-23, have been moved to the Tuesday, March 3 meeting.
They include a zone change for The Moorings at Lewes, a property management agreement with Sussex County Land Trust for the 165-acre, county-owned Pepper Fork Preserve in Dagsboro and a request to relocate Paramedic Station 114.
Public hearings scheduled for the Feb. 24 meeting will be rescheduled to a future meeting because of public notification required in advance.
Also on the March 3 agenda is a report from Sussex Coastal Airport Manager Bob Bryant, who will discuss Phases V, VI and VII of the Taxiway B construction project.
He will also discuss an obstruction study for Runway 4 and an application for the General Aviation Airport Runway Extension Pilot Program for Runway 4.

Dewey resiliency committee to meet
The Dewey Beach Resiliency and Sustainability Committee will meet at 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, at the Dewey Beach Lifesaving Station.
The group will discuss the town’s resiliency plan, including actions taken by members since the last meeting to address town council concerns.
Members will also discuss working with the marketing committee, and town use of apps.

PLUS to discuss Ocean One March 4
The Preliminary Land Use Service will discuss a revised site plan for the proposed Ocean One development at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 16 near Milton.
On the agenda as Brittingham Farms, the item proposes rezoning and a site plan of 560,000 square feet for a commercial shopping center and 500 multifamily residential units.
Also on the agenda is a review of a site plan for a regional campus for Church of God Prophecy Hispanic Northeast Region.
The proposed site is in the 21000 block of Zoar Road in Georgetown.
Agencies will also provide feedback for a project called Knights Crossing, a proposed development featuring townhomes and mixed-used buildings near the intersection of Route 1 and Cedar Beach Road south of Milford. The plan includes 344 townhouses and 78 multifamily units, and nearly 20,000 square feet of neighborhood commercial. The site also includes Mispillion Marina.

Sussex P&Z set to meet March 4
The Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission will meet at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, at the County Administration Building in Georgetown.
The commission will consider the revised final site plan and updated master plan for The Peninsula - Discovery at the intersection of Bay Farm Road and Maintenance Road in Long Neck. The plan seeks construction of four single-family detached condominiums, parking and other site improvements.
Commissioners will also consider the revised preliminary site plan for Revelation Craft Brewing Company, which is planning to open a new location on Rehoboth Avenue Extended in Rehoboth Beach.
A public hearing will be held for Rivers Edge, a proposed cluster subdivision of 187 single-family home lots on 125.13 acres along Cave Neck Road south of Milton.

Lewes parking group to meet March 6
The Lewes Parking Working Group will meet at 9 a.m., Friday, March 6, at city hall.
The panel is scheduled to continue discussion of its Squeeze the Balloon parking initiative.
