Cape school board sets meeting May 12

The Cape Henlopen school board will hold a workshop meeting beginning with a call to order and executive session at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, May 12, at Milton Elementary School. Open session will begin at about 6 p.m.

Agenda items include choice requests, summer programs and board policy items.

Special Rehoboth meeting set May 13

The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission has scheduled a special meeting for 2 p.m., Friday, May 13.

The agenda calls for a possible vote to send the comprehensive development plan to city commissioners.

The meeting will be a virtual meeting.

Rehoboth green committee to meet

The Rehoboth Beach Trees & Green Infrastructure Committee has scheduled a meeting for 10 a.m., Friday, May 13.

The agenda calls for discussions about Arbor Day 2023, the mapping of the commemorative tree program and tree selection for a city-wide tree tour.

The meeting will be conducted in person in the commissioners room of city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave.

Solar field on Sussex P&Z May 12 agenda

Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 12, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown.

Included on the agenda is a possible vote on the amended Sussex County Rental Unit Program ordinance and a public hearing on a conditional-use application filed by Freeman Solar LLC for a 351-acre solar farm on several parcels east and west of Calhoun Road and Shawnee Road near Milford.
