Lewes annexation panel to meet July 23

The Lewes Hoornkill Annexation Committee will meet for the first time at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 23 at city hall. The panel will consider a request from 12 residents in the unincorporated area of Hoornkill Avenue to be annexed into the city.  The agenda and meeting link can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.

Lewes art group to meet July 23

The Lewes Public Art Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, at the Rollins Center.

The agenda includes discussion and possible action regarding a 2026 installation by artist Wally Dion.

Lewes BPW to meet July 23

The Lewes Board of Public Works will hold its regular monthly meeting at 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 23 at city hall.

The agenda includes open forum and a general discussion on the updated BPW Electric Tariff, based on House Bill 62, relating to the termination of utility services.

Lewes council to hold workshop July 23

Lewes Mayor and City Council will hold its monthly workshop at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 23 at city hall. The agenda includes an update on the municipal campus at the Army Reserve site on Savannah Road. The full agenda and meeting link can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.

Cape school board meeting July 24

The Cape Henlopen school board will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 24, at Frederick Thomas Middle School in Lewes.

Board members will discuss the Cape High class trip to Paris, as well as the student code of conduct, Title IX athletics, the FY 2026 Child Nutrition Operations and Community Eligibility Provision, and the adoption of an order from the state board of education.

They will also review the district’s June financial statement.

Lewes ad hoc review panel to meet July 24

The Lewes Ordinance Review Ad Hoc Committee will meet at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 24, at city hall.

The group is charged with conducting a comprehensive review of the city’s code.

Rehoboth planning commission meeting July 24

The Rehoboth Beach Planning Commission has scheduled a meeting for 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 24. The agenda includes the continuation of the Belhaven Hotel project on the corner of Rehoboth Avenue and South Boardwalk, and a public hearing on the site plan of the Atlantic Crowne Hotel on Baltimore Avenue.

The meeting will be conducted in the commissioners room of city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave.
