Nutritionist to present class on safe, effective detox practices Sept. 29

September 18, 2019

Joan Tylecki of Plant Wisdom Within Herbal Medicine & Holistic Nutrition will host a detoxification class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, at her apothecary and gardens at 18522 Little Goat Lane, Lewes. Detox – Safe & Effective Practices will provide information for anyone who is concerned about how many harmful substances their body is required to process in this modern life. This course will focus on supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Advance ticket purchase is required by Wednesday, Sept. 25; cost is $35 per person. To register and purchase tickets, go to www.eventbrite.com/e/safe-effective-detox-practices-tickets-71698505159 or www.plantwisdomwithin.com/classes-workshops.

“There are as many reasons we might want to help our bodies detoxify as there are detox diets on the market. Unfortunately, a number of them can cause more harm than good and are best avoided,” said Tylecki. “This class will cover why some detox protocols may be harmful and how to tell what’s right for you.”

Tylecki will discuss the processes and pathways the body uses to detoxify the foreign substances and byproducts it encounters. She’ll share safe, practical courses of action plus information about foods and herbs attendees can use to detoxify their body and their life.
