The Third Annual Warrior Beach Week, Operation SEAs the Day, was held Sept. 8-13 in and around Bethany Beach. The mission of Warrior Beach Week is to organize and facilitate a beach week event for wounded soldiers and their families as a means of showing appreciation for their service and sacrifice. It is their hope that such a community-based gesture of support will be comforting and help ease their transition back into civilian life.

This event, a cookout at Sea Colony,  is part of the third annual Warrior Beach Week hosted by Bethany Beach, where soldiers and veterans recovering from injuries sustained during their time of service, as well as their families, take a week to relax at the beach and stay in homes and condominiums donated by local homeowners.
