Pazzo Italiano now open on Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach
After a brief renovation, Pazzo Italiano has opened on Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
Pazzo Italiano is located in a teal-colored house on the second block at what was the longtime home to Frank & Louie's. Rehoboth Beach-based hospitality and management company Second Block Hospitality announced the name change and partnership with the Frank & Louie’s owners a few months ago. Brothers Frank Bascio and Louie Bascio opened Frank & Louie’s in 2013.
The renovation began in late September. Second Block Hospitality co-owner Dave Gonce said Nov. 25 that Pazzo had been open for about a month. There hasn’t been too much advertising for the reopening yet because it’s been busy and processes are still being smoothed out, he said.
There are new food options for customers, but the menu still features Frank & Louie’s fan favorites. The biggest changes are the built-in shelves along the eastern wall and reopening the store to foot traffic. It closed to interior foot traffic during COVID and never reopened, said Gonce. The partnership allows Frank and Louie to focus their attention on the wholesale portion of their business, he said.
Second Block Hospitality also manages Drift and The Pines on Baltimore Avenue, and Bodhi Kitchen on North First Street.
Pazzo Italiano, 58 Baltimore Ave., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday to Monday. For more information, call 302-227-5777 or email info@eatpazzo.com.
