Peninsula Club holds pickleball camp and exhibition

August 17, 2019

The Peninsula on the Indian River Bay recently hosted an amazing and informative Pickleball Camp and Exhibition.  Over 50 club members participated in four hours of non-stop, interactive instruction with US Open Pickleball champions as they played in clinics and watched as the pros competed in several exhibition rounds while giving on-court instruction.

The participating Pickleball Pros were Jarrett Chirico, Jaylen Brennan, Jeff Siegel and Josh Jenkins.  Chirico is the founder of clay court pickleball and a published author. Brennan won gold at the 2018 US Open Pickleball Championship. Jenkins, also a published author, is a certified IPTPA instruction and also a USAPA ambassador. Siegel is a US Open Champion and the leading tournament director in the northeast.

Since pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in America and certainly at The Peninsula Golf & Country Club, Racquet Club Professional David Kempster brought these talented professionals and the club’s very enthusiastic pickleball-playing members together for a great day on the courts.

The Peninsula on the Indian River Bay is Delaware’s first private, gated luxury residential golf resort, set on nearly 800 acres and surrounded by water on three sides.  Live, dine, relax, and play in a word-class resort environment.
