VIA plans St. Nicholas Tea Nov. 9-11 in Rehoboth
The Village Improvement Association will lead off the holiday season with the 13th Annual St. Nicholas Tea and Sleigh Boutique Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 9-11, at the VIA Clubhouse on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.
This festive fundraising event features a delicious afternoon tea served by VIA hostesses at round tables elegantly set with fine china and tableware, each table uniquely themed. Heavenly scones, savory bites and very special sweets will be featured. A Poinsettia champagne cocktail will be served along with the essential tea. And, of course, shopping: an abundance of artfully assembled and wrapped gift baskets will be on sale. Thirteen artisans new to the boutique this year will display a variety of items. To add to the fun, the “pic-a-dilly” lady will be circulating among the tables with her apron full of surprises, treasures, and small gifts.
Seating will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m., Sunday. The Sleigh Boutique opens at 10 a.m. each day. Adult tickets are $30 per person and children, 10 and under, are $15. For a child ticket or handicap seating go to www.rehobothbeachVIA.org and submit contact information.
Reservations for this popular event are taken online by credit card only. Reserve several seats or a whole table but pay for the entire group with a credit card. Make absolutely sure each person has a ticket to attend. There is limited seating, so make reservations early.
