Positivity prevails for Lewes 8-10 softball all-stars
The point of playing a game is to have fun. Winning is nice, but it is after all the act of playing something that leads to the primary objective.
While they may not have gotten the results they wanted in the 2025 District 3 softball tournament, members of the Lewes 8-10 all-star team remained positive and encouraged one another during their two-game run.
Opening up against a buzzsaw in Milton July 2, Lewes found themselves quickly down to their final loss in the double-elimination tournament. The girls gathered themselves and headed to Bridgeville to take on Nanticoke the next day, but came up short in the July 3 contest.
Despite the losses, the girls continued to cheer one another on, and outside of a couple understandably down moments, the players remained positive, exiting the dugout for the final time with their heads held high and smiles on their faces.
