American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 hosted the second annual Makenzie Youth Parade July 4 at the post in Oak Orchard. This free event offered hot dogs, drinks, prizes and music for a fun-filled celebration.
Beth McGinn, auxiliary vice president, said, “We have these events to educate our children and future generations to know what America’s about and to extend patriotism in our communities. We’re just hoping that they take this back to their friends, their family and their schools.”
As members of the auxiliary point out, honoring unity and patriotism never goes out of style.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 Chaplain Robin Airey and Vice President Beth McGinn welcome everyone to the second annual Makenzie Youth Parade.
