American Legion Post 28 Auxiliary held a blessing of the pets March 26 just prior to the post's Easter Egg Hunt. The blessing was performed by the Rev. Kelly Pensinger, pastor of Grace of God Lutheran Church in Long Neck. The dogs and one cat with their owners lined up outside the pavillion as Pastor Kelly moved through the group with the help of Ellen Roe, a volunteer with the SPCA from Georgetown.
