Powell-Hughes Group joins ResortQuest Real Estate’s Bethany Beach office
ResortQuest Real Estate has announced that the Powell-Hughes Group has joined the coastal Delaware firm.
With a background in finance and education, Anne Powell has worked in resort real estate for more than eight years, consistently earning awards for sales volume and, most recently, receiving the 5-Star Real Estate Award, an honor given annually to the top 1 percent of real estate professionals nationally and featured in Delaware Today.
Powell graduated from a Fortune 100 management program and developed curriculum for Delaware Tech while an advisor/instructor at the school. As University of Delaware researcher, she created online courses and web resources for faculty. Powell is the incoming president of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is an avid runner and swimmer, and has two adult children.
Jennifer Hughes moved to the Delaware beaches in 2001 from Baltimore, Md. Hughes has an extensive background in mortgage lending, owning and operating her own successful mortgage company for 13 years in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania before becoming a licensed Delaware realtor in 2006. She has since obtained her Maryland real estate license and her Delaware broker’s license. The duo of Powell and Hughes is a consistent top producer. Hughes prides herself on her high customer satisfaction ratings, resulting in clients returning to her again and again for their real estate needs.
Christine Middleton, who is new to the group and joins them as a sales assistant, received her Delaware real estate license in 2010. Originally from Baltimore, she moved to Sussex County full time in 1999. Before embarking on her real estate career, Middleton was an interior designer. She earned her bachelor of fine arts degree in interior design from Virginia Commonwealth University.
The Powell-Hughes Group actively gives back to the local and regional communities they serve as sponsors of The Freeman Stage, Fenwick Flicks, the annual Exercise Like the Eskimos New Year’s Day Plunge and The Queen Anne’s Race to End Kennedy’s Disease. They are contributors to the Justin Jennings Beach House and the South Coastal Library’s Cottage Tour. Powell and Hughes are also corporate sponsors of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We are very delighted to add the Powell-Hughes Group to our sales team,” said Brigit Taylor, broker of record for the firm. “With their extensive local real estate experience and diverse business backgrounds, they will be a great asset to the firm.”
Hughes, Powell and Middleton are active members of the Sussex County Association of Realtors, the Delaware Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Powell and Hughes are also licensed in Maryland and belong to the Coastal Association of Realtors and the Maryland Association of Realtors.
The Powell-Hughes Group will have offices on Coastal Highway in Bethany Beach, at Hickman Beach Plaza West, and will continue to provide excellent service to clients in coastal Delaware and Maryland, with special expertise in luxury coastal properties as well as the waterfront golf community of Bayside in West Fenwick.
