Pumpkin decorating contest entries due to Rehoboth library Oct. 25

Rehoboth Beach Public Library is currently holding its 2nd Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Anyone who is interested in submitting their decorated pumpkin can do so by Monday, Oct. 25. Picture submissions can be emailed to rehobothbeachlibrary@gmail.com

Participants are encouraged to paint, carve, or use any material to decorate their pumpkin on any appropriate theme. Children, teens and adults are welcome to submit individually or as a family. Voting will be done by picture through the library’s social media platforms and by display in the library. Voting will start Wednesday, Oct. 27, and end Tuesday, Nov. 2. 

During the Sea Witch Festival, Saturday, Oct. 30, Rehoboth library will also be holding two additional Halloween programs. The first, Spooky Scary Story Time, will be held at 10:15 a.m. before the costume parade. The story time is for children of all ages, and attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes! Families can register on the library’s events calendar, which can be found at http://rehoboth.lib.de.us. The second event is a mini escape room, Escape the Book, for teens and adults, individuals or small groups. Participants will have 15 minutes to escape Count Dracula. Walk-ins will be welcomed between 1 and 3 p.m., no registrations needed.
