The 23rd annual Bargains on the Broadkill brought out hundreds of bright and smiling facing on an otherwise gloomy, rainy day in Milton. The end-of-summer festival held in Memorial Park featured artists, crafters and numerous other vendors. Coinciding with the event was the 13th annual Canoe and Kayak Race on the Broadkill River, sponsored by the Milton Theatre. The race began on Oyster Rocks Road east of Route 1 and ended at the park in Milton. The day also featured the Great Duck Race, train rides on the Lions Club's Clipper Express, food and fun.
