Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market to open for season May 3

April 25, 2022

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, and continue each week through October in Grove Park, Rehoboth Beach.

The first 100 customers on opening day will receive a free reusable produce bag.

During market hours, parking is free in the parking lot adjacent to the market, as well as on Sussex Street, Columbia and Henlopen avenues, and nearby cross streets. Parking is prohibited on both sides of Grove Street.

Returning vendors, many of whom have been with the market since its inception 16 years ago, include Bennett Orchards for seasonal blueberries and peaches, Ficner Farm, Davidson Mushrooms, Fifer Orchards and Lavender Fields. Also returning are Stag Farm, Celtic Acres, Backyard Jams and Jellies, Epicurean Provisions and many others. For customers who want their knives sharpened, Sharp Edge is back.

This season, market customers can purchase fresh fish, oysters and other seafood from Waterman’s Wife, fresh pizza from Rockford Catering, and seasonal produce from Bratten Farms. Prepared food is also available for eating at the park or to take home.

Market bags, cutting boards, caps, dish towels and T-shirts are for sale at the information booth near the market entrance. Also returning are the popular Rehoboth Beach Main Street raffle of market products, story time and the community tent that highlights local community organizations and live music. On opening day, patrons can listen to Bruce Anthony and his smooth jazz while they shop.
