Rehoboth Beach Main Street names 2021 Cottage & Town Award winners
Rehoboth Beach Main Street recognized the winners of its 2021 Cottage & Town Awards during a Nov. 6 presentation at its office near Grove Park. The awards recognize residential and commercial property owners who contribute to the charm, beauty and history of downtown Rehoboth through architectural and landscape architectural renovation, restoration and preservation.
There are four award categories – residential renovation, restoration and preservation; commercial renovation, restoration and preservation; landscape architectural renovation, restoration and preservation; and residential new construction. Winners each received an embossed bronze plaque.
This year’s winners were Debra Weinreich and Tim Leary of 529 School Lane for their landscaping work done by Carter Aquatics; Charles Vila and Joe Melloni of 341 Hickman St. for new construction; Dave Lyon and Rick Hardy of Coho’s Market and Grill for commercial renovation; and Tom and Kim Lawson of 303 Country Club Drive for renovation work done by Jack Abell Inc. construction. Turnstone Custom Homes did the design and construction for two of these projects – 529 School Lane and 341 Hickman St.
