Robert Marcelle, master craftsman

Robert Marcelle, 56, of Millsboro, formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019.  He was born in Chester, Pa., Jan. 16, 1963, to the late Edward R. and Jean Brain Marcelle. 

Robert was owner and operator of R.W. Marcelle Carpentry; he was a master craftsman. He loved shooting, was a NASCAR fan, loved baseball, woodworking, and most of all, spending time with his family.  He also liked to have cook-outs, and enjoyed camping and traveling.  He was fun, outgoing, loved to talk and please people.  Robert was a very hard worker.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy and four children: Keith Marcelle (Lisa), of Aston, Pa., Jennifer Watson of Millsboro, Brandon Marcelle (Vicky) of Aston and Robert Marcelle Jr., of Winchester, Va.  Also surviving are four siblings: Barbara Markland (Chris), of Chadds Ford, Pa., Debbie McFadden (Hugh), of Chichester, Pa., Aleita Frieze (Fred) of Chichester and Edward Marcelle of Milton. There are eight grandchildren: Teagan, Kenny, Brady, Bailey, Kayde,; Brayden, Reygan and Sakura.

Robert leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, extended family and many friends and neighbors.  Also surviving are “Bootsie” his cat, and “Sadie” his grand-doggie.

A Memorial Service, and Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at the River Church, 35175 Roxana Road, Frankford, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Bryan Sells, officiating. Interment arrangements are private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions either to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or to the River Church, 35175 Roxana Road, Frankford, DE 19945.
