Salted Vines raises $20K for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

November 16, 2020

Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery in Frankford raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Through the society’s man and woman of the year campaign, Salted Vines General Manager Katie Duke and Assistant Manager Heather Spencer teamed up to support this philanthropic competition to raise funds to support those impacted by blood cancer.

“Every year, we support many local organizations and charitable groups by hosting different events at the winery. In joining the LLS campaign, we had an additional connection to the cause through our assistant manager, whose younger brother battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is currently in remission. We would like to extend our thanks to our wonderful customers, friends, and business partners who donated and made this campaign such a great success,” said Duke.

Salted Vines raised funds through direct donations, corporate sponsorships and winery specials. In support of their efforts, the winery also released Warrior, a limited-edition wine, and donated a portion of the proceeds for every bottle purchased.

All the donations received through the campaign went directly to LLS to support research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

“It was such a rewarding experience to take part in the LLS Man & Woman of the Year 2020 campaign. I truly enjoy being involved in philanthropic work for such a great cause. I would like to thank all of the generous people who contributed time and donated to our fundraiser. My LLS Team, The Salted Vines Wine Warriors, did a wonderful job of supporting me in our fundraising efforts,” said Spencer.
