Sand N Stones to host book-signing July 15 in Lewes
Sand N Stones gift shop will hold a book signing for author Kathleen Marie Doyle and illustrator Marsha Holler from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at 112B Front St., Lewes.
Holler, the former owner of Marsha's Co. on Front Street in Lewes, has collaborated with Doyle on two award-winning books.
Addressing love, loss and lessons learned between a grandchild and grandparent, “Finding Pop Pop” was Delaware Press Association's 2023 first-place winner in the picture book category.
“Blue's River” is the story of a 10-year-old girl and a great blue heron who travel back in time to learn about Delaware's history and rivers.
Also available for purchase will be copies of Doyle's national first-place award-winning book, “Allies for Justice: How Louis Redding and Collins Seitz Changed the Complexion of America's Schools.” “Allies for Justice” tells the story of Delaware's significant role in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court case.
