Sidelines: The Patriots are big favorites to win the Super Bowl... again

February 1, 2019

I have a bad feeling about this Super Bowl game this year. I fear that the Patriots will crush the Rams in this game because of the big advantage in Super Bowl experience. In my opinion, the Rams are the least qualified team in a long time to represent the NFC conference in this game. I will be cheering for the big upset to occur even though it's a long shot.

The Australian Open Tennis tournament has come to a close. Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka won the men’s and ladies’ championships. Djokovic beat his rival, Rafael Nadal, in a surprisingly easy three set match to win his 15th major championship. Djokovic is young enough to possibly catch or surpass Roger Federer for the men’s record of 20 major championships. We will see what happens.

I was happy for Naomi Osaka when she won because it validated her first major victory over Serena Williams in last year‘s U.S. Open. She won the title in marathon fashion over Petra Kvitova in the longest Australian Open women’s final ever, in terms of number of games played.

See you on the sidelines!
