Simply Meditate to start May 19

Now it is as important as ever to have the tools to delve inward to that which is peaceful, certain and stable.

A Simply Meditate series will be offered via Zoom to teach participants everything they need to know about how to start a regular meditation practice at home. The classes are from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, May 19 and 26, and June 2. The $60 fee covers all three classes.

Participants will learn how to access the deeper levels of their own being, the state that is always there, always peaceful, always joyful. Yoga says that one is so much more than the mind.

An effective meditation technique is simple and accessible. This three-class series will shift participants’ understanding and experience of meditation. They will receive assistance finding a seated pose, possibly in a chair, and learn tools to begin or deepen their practice. With this traditional mantra meditation, participants will learn a different meditation technique each week to practice at home between sessions. 

This series is taught by Rajni (Chelsea) King, E-RYT 500. King has been teaching yoga for 18 years and is a certified Svaroopa Vidya meditation teacher. King will provide tips and details about how to set oneself up for success, cultivate consistency and receive all the benefits of a regular meditation practice.
