The Sixers are on a roll

April 26, 2018

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia 76ers eliminated the Miami Heat pretty easily in game five. The 76ers will play the winner of the series between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks. I expect the Sixers to make that series very exciting, but I don't think this fairytale season will continue into the next round. We will see what happens.

In the NHL playoffs, the Pittsburgh Penguins overwhelmed an overmatched Philadelphia Flyers team in six games. I had really hoped that the Flyers could find a way to beat the two-time defending champions in the series.

I will now be rooting for the Penguins to win their third straight. If they don't make it to the Stanley Cup final, I will cheer for the Las Vegas Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup. If they can pull that off, they would be the first expansion team to win a championship in their first year in all four major sports.

The NFL draft is this week. Finally! There's way too much hype and buildup leading up to the actual draft. Because the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, they will be last to draft in the first round. That's the 32nd pick and I hope the Eagles make that first selection focused on the their defense.
