Sixth annual 55+ Expo held at Cape

November 12, 2022

The sixth annual Delaware Resorts 55+ Expo was held at Cape Henlopen High School Nov. 5, giving attendees the opportunity to glean information about health, wellness, fitness, retirement and leisure-oriented organizations.

Exhibitors at the event included health and wellness firms, medical facilities and services, home healthcare agencies, physical therapy providers, physical fitness programs, 55-plus residential communities, Realtors, home builders and renovators, developers, bankers, insurance, financial and legal firms and clothing shops, as well as home product and service companies. Beebe Healthcare offered five free health screenings: blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, body mass index and bone density, along with vaccines and flu shots. Many exhibitors offered specials and gave away gifts and prizes.

Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth was the beneficiary of the event. Representatives were on hand to provide information about the organization’s valuable services.

“It was an outstanding turnout with many exhibitors calling their offices by noon to bring more supplies,” said Kathy Benson, owner/director of Delaware Resorts Expos. “Over 90 exhibitors took part in the event.”

There were nearly 1,500 visitors at the event who took advantage of the giveaways and information from vendors.
