Stephen Robert Piersall, computer technician

Stephen Robert Piersall, 68, of Magnolia passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 25, 2020,at Bayhealth Center-Kent, in Dover.  He was born June 6, 1951, in East Orange, N.J., son of the late Henry and Helen (Macauley) Piersall.

Steve proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1969-73. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1981. In 1999, he became a certified electronic technician, taught computer repair at Piscataway Vo-Tech for four years and worked as a computer technician. Steve loved spending time at the beach and water parks with his family. He also enjoyed puzzles, stained glass, books, trains, kites, cooking, and of course computers. Steve was a member of DeMolay and a deacon with the Hillside Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Baby Amy. Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Lois Piersall of Magnolia;  his daughters: Dr. Cheryl Enslee and her husband David Enslee of Avenel, N.J., and Donna Piersall of Rahway, N.J.;  his grandchildren: Hunter, Julian, and Kylie of Rahway; his sister, Gail Rawcliffe of Bloomfield, N.J.;  one niece; several nephews; and his best friend and loyal canine companion, Brownie.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Piersall's memory to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231, or the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.

Due to state and national health restrictions associated with COVID-19, the family will delay formal memorial services until a later date when family and friends can safely gather to celebrate Mr. Piersall's life. Services will be announced through selected newspapers and on the funeral home website.  Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
