Steps to Homeownership seminar set May 8

Tidemark Federal Credit Union will host a Steps to Homeownership seminar at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, at 34686 Old Postal Lane, Lewes.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from professionals specializing in various aspects of the home-buying process, including mortgage financing, real estate, insurance, financial counseling and construction.

Speakers include: Todd Smith, Tidemark director of mortgage sales; Stacey Bingaman, Tidemark chief lending officer; Steven DuVal and Stephanie Durstine, accredited financial counselors from Tidemark; Brandon Insley, assistant vice president of Insley Insurance; Russ Griffin, Realtor from the Griffin Higgins Team; and Terry and Jowana Lamb from Lamb Construction.

"We are excited to host the Steps to Homeownership seminar and provide our community with access to expert guidance and resources," said Smith. "Buying a home is a significant milestone, and our goal is to equip attendees with the knowledge and support they need to navigate the process confidently."

The seminar will cover essential topics such as understanding mortgage options, navigating the real estate market, securing adequate insurance coverage, financial planning for homeownership, and considerations for new construction projects.

Participants also will have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and fellow community members. Light refreshments will be served, and all attendees will be entered for a chance to win an exciting door prize.
