Successful yard sale benefits health advocacy groups

The Delaware Multiple Myeloma Support Group and the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware/Kenzie’s Krew held a successful yard sale fundraiser May 21 at Lavender Fields near Milton. 

Marie Mayor, owner of Lavender Fields, sponsored the event on behalf of the two organizations. 

The Delaware Multiple Myeloma Support Group, affiliated with the International Myeloma Foundation, is a statewide nonprofit support group to raise awareness about multiple myeloma, a complex and often misdiagnosed cancer of the bone marrow that attacks and destroys bone.

The Down Syndrome Association of Delaware is a statewide nonprofit supportive resource group advocating for the acceptance and understanding that allows individuals with Down syndrome to achieve the same level of access and opportunity as their peers.
