Sussex Consortium salutes occupational therapists

April 16, 2019

April is Occupational Therapy Month, and the Sussex Consortium extends its appreciation to therapists and all they do for students.

Occupational therapists at the Sussex Consortium serve students with identified occupational therapy needs. OT practitioners work with the students to help them be successful in school. The services they provide take place right in the school setting and during the natural routines of the school day in the classroom, lunchroom, playground or worksite.

School-based occupational therapists observe, assess and address a child’s strengths and needs in order to support the student’s educational program. Sussex Consortium occupational therapists help prepare students for school and life.
