Team Insync flies to victory in dragon boat race final
Newcomer ousts perennial winner in close finish

Thirty-six teams gathered at Canalfront Park Sept. 18 seeking the coveted Lewes Dragon Boat trophy. In the final round three teams finished within milliseconds of each other. The Law Offices of Griffin & Robertson, Blazing Paddles took the bronze with 59:859 seconds; coming in for silver were newcomers Delaware Psychological Services team, Freudian Ships with 59.592 seconds; taking the gold for the first year was Jack Lingo Realtor team Insync. The event is an annual fundraiser for Sussex Academy and raised about $50,000.
Other awards were: Community Favorite Award and Youth Division - The Salty Dragons (Sussex Academy seniors sponsored by the Sussex Academy Student Government) Women's Division -Team Rehoboth.
