Teresa S. Walsh, registered nurse
Teresa S. Walsh, 73, of Millville, formerly of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Clinton and Riverdale, Md., passed away peacefully with her husband by her side in the comfort of her home Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021.
Teresa was born Oct. 9, 1948, in Washington, D.C., daughter of Daniel H. Shirley and Beverly (Andre) Shirley. She worked as a registered nurse with Evangelical Homes in Saline, Mich., prior to her retirement and move to Millville 20 years ago. Teresa was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Michael J. Walsh; two sons, Michael J. Walsh Jr. and his wife Alexandra of Perkasie, Pa., and Gregory P. Walsh and his wife Jennifer of Adrian, Mich.; her mother, Beverly Shirley of Rehoboth Beach; five grandchildren, Shaun Walsh, Monica Walsh, Stephanie Walsh, Connor Walsh and Sydney Walsh; and a brother, Stephen Shirley and his wife Mary of Crofton, Md. Teresa is also survived by an aunt, Carolyn Rojas of Cordova, Md.; a niece, Cristin Miller and her husband Derek of Stevensville, Md.; a brother-in-law, John Walsh and his wife Sharon of Spotsylvania, Va.; and two first cousins, Tina Nugent of Rehoboth Beach and Billy Fotta of Dunkirk, Md.
A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 10, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Teresa’s name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
