Tina Marie Kratz, dedicated community volunteer

Tina Marie Kratz, 60, of Seaford passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was born June 5, 1961, in Wichita, Kan., daughter of the late Lynn and Joan (MacMichael) Chilcott.

Tina held multiple advanced degrees, including a master’s in business administration. During her career, she worked for the State of Delaware and Nanticoke Hospital. Tina also established job centers in Delaware libraries. She had many varied interests and hobbies. Tina enjoyed gardening, volunteering for diverse causes, boating with her husband and relaxing on the beach. A kind-hearted spirit with a charitable nature, she would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her passion was volunteerism, donating time and giving her all in everything she did, especially when it came to helping people or the community.

Tina was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2015 and the Governor's Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2010. Her devotion to her family took precedence above all. The time she spent with those she held most dear was what Tina cherished most. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Loved by many, Tina will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.

 In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and John Chilcott. Tina is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Michael Kratz; her sons: Michael Kratz II of Pen Argyl, Pa., and Andrew Kratz of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; her daughter, Adrienne Gorzelic of Nazareth, Pa.; her grandchildren: Joseph Pysher, Nicholas Kratz, Michael Kratz, Amelia Kratz, all of Pen Argyl, Bryce Gorzelic of Nazareth, Paulina and Valentina Kratz of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; her brothers: Jim Chilcott, Chris McCurdy and Tim Chilcott; and her sisters: Laurie Morris, Linda Galligan, Dawn McCurdy, Joanie Tomar, Debbie Connors and Le Anna Chilcott.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 13, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.
