Tony Alexander Wilson, accomplished lawyer
Tony Alexander Wilson was born Saturday, May 19, 1962, in Orlando, Fla., to Doreatha Howell. He departed this life at the age of 57, Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Bayhealth South Campus, surrounded by his family.
Tony was educated in the Milford school system. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1979-82. Tony had a passion for learning and obtained several degrees. He attended Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown, where he met his wife, Tiffany Gooch. Tony and Tiffany were married Friday, Sept. 14, 1990. From that union five children were born. Tony graduated from University of Delaware in 1995, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He received a paralegal degree from Widener University, Chester, Pa., in 1997.
Tony decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer and in 2000, he uprooted the family and moved to Ocala, Fla. In 2001, he enrolled at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Fla., and earned his juris doctorate degree in 2003. Tony passed several bar exams, including Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida and New Jersey. He practiced law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was never quite satisfied with his achievements, so he went back to school and obtained a second bachelor’s degree in 2017 from Wilmington University in accounting with a minor in finance. Even through his illness, he was working on becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
Tony loved to travel and absolutely loved entertaining his family and friends at his BBQs and get-togethers. One of his biggest accomplishments was being able to get his family together for a family trip to Florida in 2017. He truly was a family man.
