We need building moratorium in Sussex

September 24, 2021

People have writen many letters to the Gazette for years about the out-of-control growth in Sussex County. All of these complaints seem to have little, if any, impact or influence  on either the Sussex Planning and Zoning Commission or Sussex County Council members. The building on the open land which oftentimes includes trees that are being removed makes certain parts of the county look like strip mining.  This building cannot go on unabated. I encourage all interested people to write Gov. John Carney to see if he can legally intervene to, at least, slow down the process, if not to initiate a moratorium so that we can have planned growth.
