West Rehoboth Juneteenth Celebration returns June 19
The West Rehoboth Legacy Committee, West Side New Beginnings Inc. and Developing Artists Collaboration will present the 2025 West Rehoboth Juneteenth Celebration from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 19, at multiple locations on Central Avenue in West Rehoboth.
The vibrant community gathering to honor the day the last enslaved people in the U.S. were declared free and to celebrate the strength, creativity and contributions of Black, brown and African American residents of the Rehoboth Beach area.
U.S. Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester will deliver a special address at 6:30 p.m. at West Side Creative Market.
Attendees can shop, eat and connect at a dynamic outdoor market featuring local vendors offering handmade goods and artisanal products. A barbecue and community fish fry will be at the West Rehoboth Legacy Mural, Malloy Street and Central Avenue. Mural Artist Terrance Vann will have his latest works on display at the Artpothecary, DAC headquarters warehouse.
From 5:30 to 7 p.m., live entertainment will feature energetic tunes, inspiring speakers, spoken word by Rob West and cultural performances. U.S. Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester will deliver a special address at 6:30 p.m. at West Side Creative Market.

Free parking is available along the shoulder of Canal Crossing with easy access to all event locations. Additional parking will be available at Faith United Methodist Church and at West Side New Beginnings. The event is fully accessible and ADA-compliant thanks to recent improvements made to the West Side Creative Market grounds.
The Rehoboth Beach Museum will host an artist talk with Terrence Vann at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 20, at 511 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
