Wilbert Lee Turner Jr., enjoyed life to fullest

Wilbert Lee Turner Jr., son of the late Wilbert Turner Sr. and the late Maggie Turner, departed to his Heavenly mansion Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020. “Will,” as he was known to family and friends, attended Mary N. Smith High School in Accomack, Va.

Will was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football and Baltimore Orioles baseball teams. Will enjoyed living life to its fullest.

Will is preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Turner Sr. and mother Maggie Turner and grandson, Brandon Harmon.

Will leaves to cherish his memories wife of 27 years, Alberta Turner; sons Wilmer Lee Turner and wife DeLaine of Ellendale, and Tyrone Fassett of Selbyville; daughters Brenda Stratton of Dover, and Shanae Walker of Georgetown; sister Sarah Brown of Middletown; brother Robert Turner of Seaford; stepchildren Nathaniel Purnell and spouse (Rose) of Dagsboro, Timothy and Doris Purnell of Georgetown, Michael Purnell of Delmar, Paul and Marlean Reed of Millsboro, and Felicia Purnell of Millsboro; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A viewing  was held Thursday, Jan. 7, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Pentecostal Church of God, 27071 Bethesda Road, Millsboro. Graveside services will follow at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro.
