Wreaths Across America Rehoboth effort receives $3K donation

Highway One Companies and Community Bank gift will fund wreaths for veterans’ gravesites

Highway One Companies and Community Bank Delaware have each donated $1,500 for a total of $3,000 to fund the purchase of wreaths to place on the final resting sites of veterans in Epworth Cemetery at 12 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18.

Rehoboth Beach Main Street and the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association are teaming for the first time this year to honor local heroes on National Wreaths Across America Day.

Organizers are grateful for these generous donations extend thanks to owner Alex Pires, and other members of the Highway One Companies and Community Bank Delaware.

Across the country, numerous organizations conduct wreath-laying ceremonies, including at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. 

The initiative is designed to express appreciation to veterans during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
