Yes2Health sessions start April 4

Yes2Health, a program of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, will host three sessions this spring.

Weekly 30-minute educational programs include fitness, health and wellness education to help participants live active and healthy lifestyles.

Virtual groups are set to meet from 9:30 to 10 a.m.,Tuesdays, April 4 to June 20; and 2 to 2:30 p.m. or 7 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays, April 6 to June 22. A new self-guided email series will run from Monday, April 3 through Monday, June 19.

Yes2Health in the Kitchen is a no-cost, interactive online cooking class. Taught by chef Dee Iraca, founder of Eat Well Chef, the class will give participants a new culinary skill and show how to prepare a healthy recipe. Classes are free and open to the public. After registration, participants will be sent the shopping list, recipe and Zoom link. Participants do not need to be part of Yes2Health to take this class.

Upcoming online classes, set for 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., will feature chicken piccata with quinoa, Tuesday, April 18; veggie and shrimp spring rolls, Thursday, April 27; Buddha bowls with chicken, Monday, May 8; seared ahi tuna with a ginger-soy dressed served with cilantro brown rice, Wednesday, May 17; and blender gazpacho and creamy roasted chickpeas, Tuesday, May 23. Participants meet virtually on Zoom.

The Yes2Health Program will also offer a free interactive wellness retreat from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at Lewes Public Library. Certified nutritional coaches will answer attendees’ questions. Participants will go away with produce bags to help implement healthy lifestyle habits at home.
