Zoar United Methodist Church in Millsboro offers events July 16, 17

Zoar United Methodist Church on Route 30 and Zoar Road north of Millsboro has several celebrations this summer, including welcoming several new members May 15.

There will be an ice cream social beginning at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 16.  Homemade ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers and desserts will be available to eat in or take home. This is in support of the Zoar UMC children's programs. Ice cream flavors include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, peach, banana, and lemon. At 10:15 a.m., Sunday, July 17, at the regular morning service, Zoar will have its annual outdoor worship. This celebrates Zoar's historic campground ministry from the 1800s. The Rev. Jerry Jones will be the guest singer. The worship is followed by a picnic in the fellowship hall at noon. Bring a covered dish to share and a lawn chair.
