Jesse Verdugo-Navarro, had strong work ethic

September 8, 2021

Jesse Verdugo-Navarro, 16, of Millsboro passed away tragically Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, in Millsboro.  He was born April 24, 2005, in Seaford.

Jesse was beginning his junior year at Sussex Central High School.  He loved playing soccer and video games, and he had a great appreciation for shoes, sneakers and hats.  Jesse had a work ethic unlike most kids his age.  He held summer jobs at Sunsations in Rehoboth Beach, Texas Roadhouse in Millsboro, and Royal Farms in Selbyville. Jesse most loved spending time with his family and friends. The jokester of the family, he could brighten any room with his presence. Jesse was a loving and devoted son, stepson, brother, grandson and friend.  He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.

Jesse was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Andres Ventura and Sofia Perez; and his uncle, Handy Esau Navarro. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Karen Johana and Antonio Mix Donis of Millsboro; his sisters: Arianna Perez-Navarro and Analy Navarro-Ventura, both of Millsboro; his grandmother, Enma Madrid of Georgetown; his grandfather, who was like a second dad, Miguel Madrid-Salvador of Georgetown; and the entire Navarro-Ventura family in Delaware.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 North Bedford St., Georgetown, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 25153 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
