I love a garden. I can get carried away and find a billion things to photograph while barely taking a step. After a week of rain, I was lucky to find a local gardener who was as thrilled to share as I was to be in her backyard. The Alchemilla Mollis was screaming for its closeup, and of course, I obliged. Lady's Mantle is an old-fashioned perennial but is truly timeless. It's velvety, cupped leaves hold water and cause it to bead up. The dainty chartreuse flowers look like miniature suns. It seems to be happy just about anywhere. I might take a lesson from the lady.
