Week Six Winter Indoor 2022

Elementary Division

Belmont defeated Queens by a final of 2-1. Jada Ricketts opened the scoring with her goal at 8:30 in the 2nd half but Camille Book tied the game at 7:07. Emerson Allen got the game winner at 4:10 for Belmont.

In the second game, Evelyn Hale scored late in the 1st half to give Coker the win over Mt-Olive.

The semi-final for the championship begins at 11:30am with BELMONT VS COKER. Then MT-OLIVE VS QUEENS at 12:00pm.

The winners will face off at 12:30pm for the gold medal. Medal presentation and photos at the conclusion of the game.

Middle Division

Salisbury defeated F&M with a shutout score of 2-0. Allie Williams scored near the end of the 2nd quarter for the game winning goal and Macy Wheatley got the insurance goal at 2:10 in the 4th quarter.

Swarthmore was awarded a forfeit win when McDaniel was not able to field sufficient numbers for the game. In the friendly match using players from both teams Swarthmore got five goals from Prestley Bebout and McDaniel got goals from Bebout (2), Madori Torres and Olivia Hershelman.

 

The semi-final match ups have Swarthmore vs F&M at 1:30pm followed by McDaniel vs Salisbury at 2:15pm. The winning teams then play at 3:30pm for the championship.

Senior Division

In this division, Newport defeated an undermanned Washington team by a final of 10-4. Washington was able to keep it within one goal by halftime with TT Barends having the hat trick and London Bebout getting a solo goal. Newport had a one goal lead at half with Sommer Dorman (3) and Lily Ashby (2) doing the early scoring. Fatigue hit Washington in the second half and Ellie Arthur (3) and Ashby finished off the scoring. Wilkes defeated Ursinus by a final of 3-1 in the second game of the division. Chloe Wood scored at 1:57 to give Ursinus the 1st half lead but Elise Westbrook had a pair of goals in the 3rd quarter to put Wiles in the lead. Emma Westbrook scored late in the 4th quarter for the final goal of the night.

In the first semi-final game, Wilkes will face Ursinus at 4:15pm followed by Newport vs Washington at 5:00. The winning teams will play for the gold medal at 6:00pm.
