Spring, summer music camps begin May 2

Keenote Music Studio begins its 13th annual summer Musikamps for children Monday, May 2, and Tuesday, May 3. Once-a-week classes for babies one month through 15 months, together with family, will continue for five weeks. Also scheduled is a 16-month through 3-year-old group for children and family.

Both morning and evening classes are available and include, singing, dancing, instruments, and homework craft weekly. A second session for babies and tots will come in July.

Children ages 3 to 5 years will have two different weekly camps available this summer: Kreepy Krawler in June and Welcome to My House in July. The campers come each day for a week and give a performance for family and friends outdoors at the Keenote Music Studio and farm on Friday.

The activities include songs, movement, playing instruments and making crafts, both indoors and outdoors. Listening skills, making new friends and sharing give children a chance to come for the music and leave with an education.

A daily camp for children entering kindergarten in September 2011 through fifth grade is available July 11 through 15 with Native Americans as its theme.
