Doggies at the Beach held a Dog Days of Summer event in front of Pottery Place on Route 1 June 26. Dog owners were encouraged to bring their dogs dressed in their best Fourth of July costume for a chance to win prizes.
Dogs were paraded through the local businesses, Pottery Place, Rattan Co. and Bin 66, which acted as judges. Bethany Blues was on hand serving food for the pets' human companions, and plenty of dog treats were available for the dogs.
Holding his Chihuahua, Pride, dressed in a red white and blue T-shirt, is Akiva Grant.
