New city hall out of character in Rehoboth

July 21, 2017

The new $20,000,000-plus city hall is out of character with the rest of Rehoboth Beach. I hope those that voted for the monstrous building are happy.

Some people are aware of the letter the city manager sent allowing certain people to vote more than once, if they had a trust etc. This surprised many, including myself. I could have voted more than once, but never realized it at the time. Since my 85 years of living in Rehoboth, it has always been one person-one vote.

The same voting scheme happened for the passing votes for the outfall for Rehoboth's sewer disposal. We will soon have people swimming in treated sewer, since the outfall will be extended only one mile out into the ocean and will wash up on our shores. Too bad and very sad for Rehoboth Beach.

Think about it and vote your conscience on Aug. 12.
