In Dewey: Innocent until proven guilty

August 18, 2017

Read with dismay in last Friday's Gazette a letter to the editor about Dewey Beach town manager.

The writer complained that Dewey Beach government did not remove their town manager after complaints were filed against him.

My belief is everyone in this country is innocent until proven guilty. Dewey Beach government hired an independent investigator to find the truth about the complaints. This was the right and fair thing for the government to do. No one should presume guilt without proof!
