Debbie's Fund trustee Mike Newnam, left, and mascot Rez Q. Pal (Leah Barnes) invite the public to the third annual Wheels and Wine charity event scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Pizzadili Winery, 1683 Peach Basket Road in Felton.
The event is family friendly with food and beverage court, winery tours and tastings, a shaded pavilion, raffles and music provided by Skinny Leg Pete Band as well as DJ offerings. Wheels and Wine '11 benefits Debbie's Fund, a Delaware charity that supports animal shelters in Kent and Sussex counties.
This year's special attraction is Racers at the Vineyard, a salute to Delaware auto racing, including vintage, modern and drag race cars. Vehicle registration is $15. The first 125 registered will receive dash plaques. There will be 25 top car awards. Preregistration of vehicles ends Monday, Aug. 8, and space is limited.
Exhibitor and vendor space is also available from $25. Program ad space is available from $20. A silent auction including some racing items will also be held. Admission is free but donations are always appreciated. For information, go to www.debbiesfund.com, call 302-424-1504 or email dlsm@dlsm.org.
