Orlando James Waples, SuperFresh, Walmart employee

Orlando James Waples, 49, of Milford died Monday, March 19, 2018, at Bayhealth Center after a lengthy illness. Orlando was born April 13, 1968, in Beebe Hospital Lewes to Hurley R. Sr. and Estelle Ingram Waples of Rehoboth.

Orlando graduated from Cape Henlopen High School class of 1986. Orlando worked at the former Super-Fresh and Walmart. Orlando attended his family's church, formerly Mt. Pleasant UM in Rehoboth. Orlando loved to hunt with his goddaughter Jaelana Nicole Hopkins, and run with his dogs in the woods during hunting season.

Survivors include his wife, Turkessia E. Waples; eight children, Sonia, Deija and Dionicio Torres, Samaya St. Lous, Aniyah McClarry, Jy-Asia, and J-Shawn Adamson and Michael Carter; his father and mother: Hurley R. Sr. and Estelle Waples of Rehoboth; two sisters, Osceola Waples and Chestina Cannon of Georgetown; one brother, Hurley R. Jr. and his wife Barbara Waples of Virginia.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 7, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., at Miller Funeral Home, 11475 Commercial Lane-C, Laurel. Service will be at 1 p.m. following viewing at the funeral home.
