Wow!
What a welcoming act by the Lewes Mayor and City Council to be so kind as to extend parking meters until 9 p.m. on this special date Fourth of July - a time to enjoy and celebrate our freedom and our great nation.
Heck, the city does not need to be overrun with such patriotic folks, so let's make them pay. Why not consider just making a minimal increase in parking fees during the season rather than penalize celebrants on this special day?
Such a move should not be applauded. Whoever voted them in can vote them out. Patriotism should be rewarded, not penalized.
