GOP club holds annual dinner
The 38th District Republican Club held its annual red, white and blue dinner at Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club, June 11. Attendees included U.S. Senate candidates Rob Arlett and Gene Truono, Rep. Ron Gray, R-Selbyville, and new club President James Costas and Treasurer Tom Fallon. Outgoing President Drew Sunderlin said, “We are very fortunate to have such a deep pool of experienced and talented Republicans in our club.”
Costas and his wife, Maureen, have been year-round Ocean View residents since 2011. They represented Delaware Republicans at the past two presidential conventions. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, and retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel in field artillery. “Maureen and I are very proud to be involved with Operation SEAs the Day since its inception six years ago,” Jim Costas said.
Fallon also resides in Ocean View and became a year-round resident seven years ago. He and his wife Barbara relocated from Baltimore, Md., where he was a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch for 40 years. Fallon has also served as treasurer of Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club.
The 38th District Republican Club meets at 7 p.m., the fourth Monday of the month, September to June, at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach. For more information, email info@38thdrcp.com or go to www.38thdrcp.com.
